Our Visitor Badge Software Can Notify you about Expired Visitor ID Badges

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 by John Murzycki

EasyLobby visitor registration software allows you to monitor visitors whose visitor ID badges have expired but who have not checked out of the building.

When visitors are checked in by our visitor control software, the lobby attendant can specify a length of time that their badge is valid.

When that time has expired, and the visitor has not yet checked out, you have the option of receiving an email or text message notifying you that the badge has expired.

The employee meeting with that visitor can also be notified.

The expired badge alert in EasyLobby's Secure Visitor Management (SVM) is part of a series of different alerts that you can use to increase visitor security and be notified about changing situations.

In the case of the expired badge alert, it allows you to investigate the reasons why a visitor has extended a stay beyond expectations, and why they have not checked out of the building as expected.

To set the expired badge alert in our visitor registration system go to the 'program options' screen, click on the 'email alerts' tab, and then the 'expired badges alert' tab. Complete the various screens, including adding customized wording on the email message.

The alert function is a good procedure to follow, especially in organizations that wish to practice positive visitor management techniques and increase visitor management security in their facilities.

This is one feature that allows you to be properly managing visitors at all times.

For more information about our alerts feature, as well as additional visitor management solutions, register for a free, no-obligation online web conference.
