K-12 Schools Use Visitor Software to Guard Against Unwanted Visitors

Friday, January 13, 2012 by John Murzycki

Visitor Management Solutions for K-12 Schools

Many K-12 schools have decided to use EasyLobby visitor systems to protect their students, teachers and other guests from unwanted visitors.

A visitor system allows the school to know who is in their facilities and the reasons why. It also allows them to screen against unwanted visitors.

By scanning each visitor ID from a driver's license the school is able to verify the identity of the guest and record when they entered and left the building.

Here are some of the major benefits of using visitor registration in a school environment:

Automatically screen against internal watch lists and/or sex offender databases.

Print customized visitor badges including a photo. Distinguish different categories of visitors.

Create watch lists to ensure that proper individuals have custodial authority to pick up children.

Print long-term volunteer visitor passes and track their time and attendance.

Account for students leaving school grounds for field trips and/or off campus recess.

The fact is that using a paper guest book for visitor sign in does little to enhance visitor security or establish a professional approach to managing visitors.

Why Use External Databases To Screen Individuals During Visitor Registration

Tuesday, November 29, 2011 by John Murzycki

Using External Databases with Visitor Passes

A visitor system is able to perform a number of important functions to enhance how you are managing visitors and to improve visitor security at your facilities.

Scanning a visitor ID such as a driver's license and creating a professional visitor badge is certainly an important capability.

Today, however, I'd like to focus on one particular aspect of your visitor management software - the ability to screen guests against outside databases.

There are two particular databases that the EasyLobby visitor software uses:  Sex Offender Screening and the Visual Compliance/Government Denied Party Screening.

These external screening services differ from internal Watch Lists because the individuals listed on these two services are placed there by specific Government agencies.

Internal watch lists contain the names of individuals that you specifically place on a list because you want to highlight their entry at you lobby system. These individuals might include disgruntled ex-employees, competitors, unprofessional contractors or other unwanted individuals.

Let's examine each of these external databases separately.

With the sex offender screening service you are able to screen visitors against all 50 states' registered sex offender databases at one time and receive a positive match within two seconds during guest sign in.

The EasyLobby badge software is able to generate automatic email alerts to notify your security staff of a match during check in. Results often include a photo, and always provide a physical description of the offender.

This is an annual subscription-based service that is an option to the primary EasyLobby visitor registration software.

The sex offender database screening is particularly relevant for K-12 schools, colleges and universities, children's hospitals, and other facilities trying to safeguard children.

Another screening service offered by EasyLobby is the Visual Compliance/Government Denied Party Screening.

This is also a fast and automatic screening option that compares all visitors who check into your facilities and alerts you of a match within two seconds during visitor sign in.

The Denied Party screens against more than 50 U. S. government lists, including the Terrorists and FBI watch lists, GSA, Munitions, International, Banking, Police and others.

Like the sex offender screening you can generate automatic email alerts to notify security of a match. It is also an annual subscription-based service.

The Denied Party Screening is relevant for government and military facilities, critical infrastructure facilities, Utilities, Chemical plants, and other facilities concerned about or required to perform this type of screening.

If you use a visitor registration system to create visitor badges, you may want to consider adding either of these two external screening services to better protect the people in your facilities.

To see this function, as well as the many additional EasyLobby visitor management capabilities, register for a free, personalized online web conference.

In about 30 minutes we will demonstrate the many features and capabilities of our software that are most appropriate to your particular requirements.

How Visitor Software Can Protect K-12 Students - A Case Study

Monday, November 14, 2011 by John Murzycki

Lobby Management Software for Schools

The Union Gap School District in Union Gap, Washington is one of the many K-12 schools that protects students from unwanted guests by using EasyLobby badge ID software.

One of the reasons Union Gap School District installed a visitor system was to alert lobby attendants to any visitors who are on each states' sex offender database.

School administrators are understandably careful about protecting their students from possible predators, which was a primary motivation for the installation of visitor tracking software.

All guests entering the school must present a visitor ID with a photo such as a driver's license. The ID is scanned to capture the information and to create a professional visitor pass.

Like many other schools, Union Gap decided to do away with a paper guest book for guest sign in, replacing it with a modern, professional approach to managing visitors.

Now, upon visitor check in, if the guest is listed on any states' sex offender database a warning will alert the attendant.

"If it protects one child it's well worth the money that we spent on it," said Kurt Hilyard, Union Gap School District Superintendent. "Safety in school has changed over the last 10 - 20 years and now it's one of the most important things you can do in a facility."

EasyLobby visitor registration is used at hundreds of K-12 schools throughout the country to improve visitor security and to protect students.

Union Gap officials explain that visitor registration software is a cheap insurance policy for their most precious possession.

Read an article and watch a video from TV station KIMA about the EasyLobby badge software in place at the Union Gap School District.

A Company Profile on EasyLobby and its Badge Software

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 by John Murzycki
EasyLobby Visitor Passes

Most of the blogs on this post are about visitor management solutions and success stories of EasyLobby customers. But today we'll discuss EasyLobby the company as well as the product.

After all, when you purchase visitor software it's the company behind the product that you need to know about.

EasyLobby has been in existence for 14 years, and visitor management software is its sole focus. It is an independently-owned company and software products are developed in-house by its own engineering staff. The company is headquartered outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

EasyLobby has focused on providing visitor systems that are:
  1. reliable, feature-rich and easy to use and install;
  2. can integrate with other security management and access control systems to provide a total security solution for employees and visitors;
  3. an organization that is extremely customer-driven when expanding the capabilities of its software.
Customers also speak highly about EasyLobby's customer support capabilities. With free phone support, customers find it easy to resolve any technical issues or questions about the visitor registration software.

When speaking to prospects about a visitor system, EasyLobby personnel stress the benefits of a professional lobby system over a paper guest book for visitor sign in. The use of a visitor registration system allows an organization to understand who is in their building and the reasons why.

By automating all the steps during guest sign in, organizations are able to professionally manage visitors and capture all necessary information about the visitor and the reason for their visit.

Using badge ID software, a customer is able to scan a visitor ID such as a driver's license, automatically capturing the information and creating a professional visitor badge within 20 seconds per guest.

EasyLobby customers are possibly one of the best examples of the success of the product. They span a wide range of industries and types of organizations, from large corporate facilities, small businesses, government, military, non-profit, colleges, K-12 schools, hospitals, multi-tenant facilities, and industries of all kinds.

Many of our customers also tell us that  our visitor management system improves their image as a professionally-run organization. They explain that our software is a more professional approach to lobby management than a paper method.

Because EasyLobby is integrated with over 45 access control systems, customer can provide barcode or proximity card access to guests, allowing them to open doors, turnstiles or elevators that are controlled by the access control system. Read our white paper on the integration with access control systems.

There are many more features and capabilities of EasyLobby software that can benefit your organization. Many of these benefits are discussed in greater detail in other blog posts. But if you would like to find out more, register for a free, personalized online web conference.

How to Improve Visitor Registration at College Campuses - A Case Study

Monday, October 24, 2011 by John Murzycki

Visitor Systems at College and University Campuses

Colleges and University campuses are an area where improved visitor management can be effective at enhancing security and improving the image of the college.

Case in point, Loyola University Chicago. The visitor registration system used by Loyola is one of many EasyLobby installations at college and university campuses throughout the country.

Loyola University Chicago is the nation's largest Jesuit Catholic University. It is an urban campus that has a large number of non students, especially the school libraries that are often visited by students from other nearby institutions.

"How to manage our libraries was a concern that drove our initial interest in visitor management software," said Frank Dale, Manager of Physical Security for Loyola. "We were having some petty thefts and we simply wanted to know who was in our facilities, which we were not able to do without a professional visitor system in place."

Prior to the EasyLobby visitor software deployment, each visitor log was kept by hand and on a building-by-building basis. There was no automation.

As overall security and visitor security became more of a concern it became obvious that a 'by hand' system wasn't feasible and would not be able to scale as the campus expanded. Loyola officials wanted a better system to be managing visitors and they decided that EasyLobby was the answer.

The use of school visitor software at Loyola has grown significantly since the initial implementation at the school libraries.

The school is currently using EasyLobby visitor registration software at 3 libraries, 7 residence halls and 4 administrative buildings. All systems are networked to the same central database where data is integrated, analyzed and reported on.

EasyLobby badge software is used for reconciliation at the end of visiting hours so that campus administrators know which guests are still on-campus and which have checked out.

"EasyLobby has helped make our campuses safer" said Dale. "Especially since we are located in an urban setting, we place a high premium on keeping out unwanted visitors, and on keeping our students, faculty and staff safe."

Another benefit of using visitor badge software is that petty thefts in the libraries, which was difficult to manage with so many visitors plus students from other campuses, has been dramatically reduced.

"As a result of EasyLobby's responsiveness and proactive assistance," said Dale, "we plan to grow the use of EasyLobby as the campus grows."

Visitor Registration Problems and Solutions: Using it in a College and University Environment

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 by John Murzycki

ID Card Software for Colleges and Universities

Some environments such as college and university campuses have unique challenges when using visitor software. So let's deal with the feasibility of using it in a campus environment.

Problem:  With a campus environment that encompasses many different buildings, open areas, and different school facilities, how realistic is it to consider using visitor registration software?

Solution:  The way you use a visitor system will depend greatly on the type of environment. But managing visitors professionally and securely in an open campus environment is just as important as a single-entry office.

It's important to know what you are trying to accomplish in an open campus environment and what is practical. The buildings that are more prone to theft, vandalism, or other problems from unknown guests are the locations to assign a priority to the use of badge software.

Protecting campus dormitories from unknown or unwanted guests are probably one of the highest priority areas for any college.

Enhancing visitor security at college and university campuses begins with knowing who is visiting buildings on campus.

By installing visitor systems in campus dormitories and other high risk buildings you have the ability to monitor and control all guests who are entering those buildings.

Visitor tracking software allows you to track students who are visiting another student's residence hall and track and provide a visitor ID badge to all non-student visitors.

Screening of visitors on each states' registered sex offender database can also be used. During a guest sign in, the lobby attendant will be notified if someone on a list tries to check in. Automatic email alerts can also be sent to security personnel.

You can also decide if you want visitors to wear a school visitor badge before entering certain other facilities such as a library or administration buildings.

Protecting students, administrators and faculty require that educational institutions develop specific processes for the use of visitor management software. As a result, you will have an environment that is secure, yet the visitor management system will not be a burden or a hardship for administrators or guests.

EasyLobby school visitor software is currently used a many leading educational facilities across the country.

Problems and Solutions Using a Lobby System: How to Screen Against Unwanted Visitors

Monday, August 1, 2011 by John Murzycki

Lobby Management Software

Many organizations use visitor systems to improve the professionalism of their organization. But what about also improving security?

We'll examine that issue in today's article by discussing alerts that are designed to keep unwanted individuals from checking in at your facilities.

Problem:  I realize that using visitor badges are a more professional approach to managing visitors. But how do I protect our environment against individuals that we do not want inside our facilities?

Solution:  One of the more helpful security alerts included in EasyLobby badge software is the ability to create watch lists to highlight specific visitors that you do not want in your building.

Creating a watch list is an important feature to incorporate in your standard security procedures, and visitor management software allows you to do so easily.

Watch lists can alert you about the arrival of someone you do not want in your facilities within seconds of guest sign in. Individuals on your watch list might include disgruntled former employees, competitors, an unscrupulous contractor, or a malicious person.

It's interesting to note that watch lists do not have to include only "bad" individuals but also "good" people or VIPs that you may want to highlight, such as a member of the Board of Directors, an investor, or a strategic partner.

Either way, watch lists allow you to pay particular attention to these individuals and treat them in a certain way - such as denying entry to unwanted individuals or giving preferential treatment for those who are important to your organization.

Organizations frequently want to further enhance their security by using external watch lists to screen against individuals on each state's sex offender database or the Government Denied Parties databases. Schools and government facilities often employee either of these services with EasyLobby to screen guests prior to providing a visitor pass and allowing them entry.

Most importantly, a watch list feature is easy to use with EasyLobby visitor software.

Using watch lists are an important capability to enhance visitor security. Even though the use of visitor passes is the most visitable aspect of your ID badge system, using watch lists are an important aspect of lobby management and improving security for your guests and employees.

Find out more about using watch lists, and the many other EasyLobby features, by registering for a free, personalized online web conference.

In about 30 minutes we will demonstrate the features of our system that are most appropriate for your particular environment.

Summer Is A Great Time To Improve The Use of Visitor Software

Thursday, July 14, 2011 by John Murzycki

Using Visitor Tracking Software
It's summer. And at many places there may be a bit of a slower pace to the work environment - more people on vacation, maybe less visitors at your organization.

Which is why it's a good time to think about making improvements to how you are managing visitors and how you may be using your lobby system.

While you have the time, evaluate how you are handling the flow of visitors and your procedures for guest sign in and providing visitor passes.

If it is not efficient now during a slow time of the year, how will you be handling visitor registration during busy times.

Now is also a good time to review the information that you collect when using a visitor system. Are you asking the right questions that will allow you to correctly identify who is in your building and the purpose of their visit?

And by all means, if you are still using a paper guest book rather than visitor management software, now is the time to get started. Badge software is a great way to improve visitor security and automate the visitor sign in process.

It's our experience that schools and universities in particular use the summer to improve their school visitor software program so that when a new season opens they are able to issue a professional school visitor badge to each guest visiting their facilities.

In addition to evaluating the features that you use in your visitor management, also consider rolling it out to field and remote offices that might not now be using it. Having a consistent ID badge system in use throughout your organization is a good idea. Remember, visitor systems are important to use in small offices as well as large.

An Electronic Lobby System Let's You Know Who is in Your Building. And The Reasons Why.

Monday, July 11, 2011 by John Murzycki

Visitor Systems

Many organizations have decided to use a professional visitor system because they want to know exactly who is in their building and the purpose of their visit.

Badge ID software helps organizations identify and monitor exactly who is entering and leaving their facilities. You decide what information is most important to your organization, such as the employee being visited, the category of visitor, their company affiliation, and a host of other criteria.

Visitor management software from EasyLobby is simple to use. Depending on the level of information you require from a visitor, a guest can be checked in within 20 seconds or less. That includes scanning their visitor ID such as a driver's license and printing a professional visitor badge.

You can analyze visitor traffic by generating customized reports in seconds.

Visitor registration is a good way to alert you to unwanted visitors. You can improve lobby security with Watch Lists to identify people you do not want in your facilities such as ex-employees or malicious individuals. You can also identify individuals on each state's sex offender database, often used in school visitor software.

For unattended lobbies use EasyLobby visitor management in a kiosk or unattended mode.

Many of our customers also tell us how important it is for them to maintain an image of a well-managed organization. Doing away with a paper guest book for visitor sign in and replacing it with visitor software helps them accomplish it.

Whatever your requirements for managing visitors, EasyLobby badge ID software can accommodate your needs.

EasyLobby Visitor Systems Protect K-12 Schools From Unwanted Visitors

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 by John Murzycki

School Visitor Software

K-12 Schools put a high value on protecting students, administrators and teachers from unwanted visitors.

That's why visitor management and properly managing visitors is a high priority at most schools.

EasyLobby visitor software is used at many of the country's school systems. As one of the most economical ways for a school to dramatically improve visitor security, a visitor system allows the school to identify and monitor all visitors and provide visitor badges to all guests, contractors and volunteers in the school.

Visitor management software allows schools to limit entry as well as monitor entry of all guests to school facilities. An ID badge system allows them to apply a visitor pass to all guests and to flag unwanted visitors.

Professional visitor registration helps schools flag unwanted visitors by using a watch list feature. This can include external watch lists such as individuals registered on each state's sex offender database. EasyLobby ID card software will alert lobby attendants and administrators within seconds of guest sign in when someone on this list tries to check into the building.

Schools using EasyLobby badge ID software normally require all guests to wear a school visitor badge and to verify their identity during visitor sign in.

Schools are able to expedite visitor check in and out during busy morning and end-of-school times by using barcodes on visitor passes.

Badge software helps schools track the hours of school volunteers and other helpers, as well as contractors working at the school.

When students leave the school grounds, either because of lunch breaks, free periods or field trips, scanning their student ID cards with EasyLobby visitor registration software allows the school to keep track of who has left the building.

One of the more important features of EasyLobby visitor monitoring software is to keep track of who has custody of a student and the parent or caretaker who is allowed to pick them up after school and who is not allowed.

For more information about using EasyLobby visitor tracking software in a school, or other environments, register or a free, personalized online web conference.

In about 30 minutes we will demonstrate the features of our lobby system that are most appropriate for your particular environment.

Does Your Lobby System Have a Watch List?

Monday, June 13, 2011 by John Murzycki

Creating Watch Lists in Visitor Systems

One of the more interesting security features of EasyLobby's visitor software is the ability to create Watch Lists to highlight specific visitors who may want to enter your facilities.

Our visitor system alerts you in seconds during guest sign in when someone is on your Watch List.

Watch Lists can be used to alert you about the arrival of either someone you do not want in your facility, such as a disgruntled former employee, a competitor, an unwanted contractor, or maybe a malicious person.

Conversely, a Watch List can be used during visitor registration to highlight the arrival or a VIP such as a member of the Board of Directors, an investor, or a strategic partner.

So you can have individuals on either a "good person" watch list or a "bad person" watch list.

Either way, a Watch List is an important feature to incorporate into any visitor management software system. And it's easy to set-up in EasyLobby visitor tracking software.

Some organizations want to further enhance visitor management by being alerted to visitors on each state's sex offender database or the Government Denied Parties Databases. Schools and government facilities often employ either of these services with EasyLobby to screen guests prior to providing a visitor badge.

So even though visitor passes are the most visible aspect of our ID badge system, features such as a Watch List are an important aspect of lobby management and enhancing visitor security.

Find out more about the many additional features of EasyLobby badge software by registering for a free, personalized online web conference.

In about 30 minutes we will demonstrate the features of our ID card software that are most significant to your particular environment.

EasyLobby School Visitor Software Featured in Security Management Magazine Supplement on Campus Security

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 by John Murzycki

Visitor Badge for School & Campus Environments

EasyLobby ID Card Software was highlighted in the June 2011 issue of Security Management in their special supplement on School and Campus Security.

The article states, "Professional visitor management software from EasyLobby can improve visitor security and increase the professionalism of the campus as a well-run facility that cares about the safety of the students, guests, and administrators."

EasyLobby visitor systems are used at many large and small campus environments, including Loyola University Chicago, which was also examined in the article.

"EasyLobby visitor registration software has helped make our campuses safer," said the manager of physical security for Loyola.

Visitor badges worn by all guests at a campus facility help identify visitors and allow administrators to know who has entered certain buildings.

Professional visitor management at college and university campuses starts with the ability to monitor and control all guests who are entering campus buildings.

EasyLobby visitor software can track students visiting another student's residence hall, and track and badge all non-student visitors.

Our screening of visitors on each states' registered sex offender database can also be used to flag those visitors at the time of guest check in.

Security Management is one of the leading industry publications addressing the security field. You can view the supplement here on School and Campus Security.

EasyLobby Badge Software Sponsors Newsletter for School Administrators

Monday, May 16, 2011 by John Murzycki

ID Card Software for SchoolsVisitor Systems for K-12 Schools

The American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Executive Briefing is a weekly electronic newsletter. One of its newest sponsors is EasyLobby visitor software.

AASA members help shape K-12 school policy, oversee its implementation and represent school districts to the public at large.

This is an excellent audience for visitor management software. EasyLobby is used at many K-12 schools across the country such as the Ballston Spa Central School District. Read our case study about the use of visitor badges at Ballston Spa.

EasyLobby visitor systems are able to address many of the requirements of K-12 schools.

One of the reasons many schools have replaced their paper guest book with a professional lobby system is to screen visitors who are on  each states' sex offender database.

Upon visitor sign in, if  the guest is listed on any states' sex offender database a warning will alert the attendant, and any other personnel.

Schools can use visitor registration to require all guests to wear a visitor ID badge while on school property. Guests must first check in at a visitor system where they must present a valid photo ID, which is scanned into EasyLobby's visitor tracking software.

One of the things that we often remind school administrators is that one of the easiest and  most economical ways for a school to dramatically improve lobby security is professional visitor management from EasyLobby.

Improve the Image of Your Organization with Visitor Software

Tuesday, April 12, 2011 by John Murzycki

ID Badge System

Many of our customers frequently tell us that one of the many advantages of our visitor system is to improve their image as a professional organization.

That's because EasyLobby visitor management software is a modern, professional approach to lobby management and improving guest sign in at any organization.

Creating professional-looking visitor badges with our badge ID software communicates that the organization cares about managing visitors to their facilities.

The ability to produce high-quality visitor passes and efficiently deal with guests is a positive first impression to anyone entering the building.

Of course there are a lot of other benefits of our visitor registration software such as knowing exactly who is in your building at any time in the event of an emergency and the ability to automatically notify first responders. Also, being able to create watch lists to identify unwanted visitors and screen against each states' sex offender database is a particularly important benefit to some organizations such a schools.

So the next time you sign in at an organization using an ineffective paper guest book, tell them about a more professional approach with EasyLobby badge software.

School Visitor Software Used at College Campuses

Tuesday, February 22, 2011 by John Murzycki

ID Badge System at Colleges and Universities

Visitor security at college campuses starts with knowing who is visiting buildings on campus.

Professional visitor management by EasyLobby has the ability to monitor and control all guests who are entering college buildings, especially college residence halls.

EasyLobby visitor software can track students visiting another student's residence hall, and track and provide a visitor ID badge to all non-student visitors.

Our screening of visitors on each states' registered sex offender database can also be used to flag those visitors at the time of guest sign in.

Although visitor registration is one of several security issues that college campuses need to address, it is certainly an important one. Because most college campuses are an open environment with many people moving about the campus, it is critical that school officials monitor visitor and guest activity at all campus facilities.

Visitors to campus should be required to wear a school visitor badge that was issued when they were checked at a visitor registration station.

Protecting students, administrators and faculty requires that educational institutions develop visitor management techniques that are secure, yet work smoothly and easily at a variety of campus facilities.

EasyLobby visitor management software is currently in use at many of the nation's leading educational facilities.

For more information about using visitor badges at colleges and universities - or at your particular environment - register for a free, personalized online web conference.

In about 30 minutes we will demonstrate the visitor system that is best for your particular requirements.

EasyLobby Visitor Managment Highlighted in Industry Publication

Thursday, February 17, 2011 by John Murzycki

Badge ID Software for K-12 Schools

EasyLobby's Visitor ID solutions were highlighted in the February 2011 issue of "Solutions By Sector - K-12 Education Security" sponsored by Security Magazine and SDM Magazine.

The title of the article was, "K-12 Schools Use EasyLobby Visitor Management Software to Guard against Unwanted Visitors".

Here is the complete article printed in the publication:

"As one of the easiest and most economical ways for a school to dramatically improve overall visitor security, professional visitor software from EasyLobby is a good safeguard.

"This includes Watch Lists such as each states' registered sex offender database that will alert lobby attendants and administrators when someone on this list tries to check into the building. EasyLobby badge software can display results within seconds when a match occurs.

"The Ballston Spa Central School District in New York State is one of the many K-12 schools using visitor registration software from EasyLobby.

"Edwin Martin, Coordinator of Facilities and Security says, 'From a security perspective, we now can reliably track everyone who visits, from arrival to departure, and issue a temporary photo visitor ID badge that our staff now expects to see on all visitors.'

"The District decided early in the implementation process that they wanted a different ID badge template for various categories of visitors or contractors. They categorize guests into contractor, parent/guardian, presenter, and visitor.

" 'It is quick and easy to apply a category and this feature in the ID badge system is useful for sorting and reviewing visitors,' said Martin.

"Martin continues, 'Overall, the implementation of EasyLobby visitor tracking software has been beneficial to the School District by providing administrators with the information needed to understand and manage visitors to our buildings.

"Dr. Joseph Dragone, Superintendent of Schools for the Ballston Spa Central School District was pleased about the results. He says, 'EasyLobby's ID Badge System has been well received by our community, especially parents who feel reassured that the district is taking security seriously. Staff members also appreciate the proactive stance the District has taken to guest sign in and screening.' "

Federal Regulations and using visitor badges

Many different kinds of organizations use EasyLobby visitor software to improve visitor security and enhance their image as a professionally-run operation.

Lobby management is an important function for any organization, and using an ID badge system such as ours makes the process easy, and also provides you with a great deal of functionality in how your are managing visitors.

One area often overlooked when considering a visitor system is how it can help comply with specific state and federal regulations.

For example, organizations in the food and beverage industry must comply with regulations under the Bio Terrorism Act, requiring them to know about and record every visitor who comes in and out of their facilities. A paper guest book is a poor way to comply with such a regulation.

ID card software allows these organization to track all their guest sign in information and make it readily available. Read our blog about food and distribution companies and their use of EasyLobby visitor tracking software, and our customer success story about a National Food Distributor.

Electric utilities must comply with specific regulations for heightened visitor management security at their generating facilities. Many of the largest utilities in this country use EasyLobby to help them comply with their ID card software in their facilities.

"Red Flags Rule" is yet another regulation that's part of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003. It requires businesses to be on the lookout for signs that someone is using another person's identity to get products or services with no intention of paying.

Badge software is a good way to verify the validity of someones identity. Read our blog for more information about using our visitor registration system to address the Red Flag Rule.

Although not a specific regulation, schools, hospitals and government agencies normally have requirements to guard against visitors who are on States' Sex Offender Database or the Government Denied Parties Database. EasyLobby's visitor management guards against individuals on these specific watch lists.
